Garden Time Tours: The Willamette Valley
(July 17, 2015)
On July 17th William and
Judy will lead a tour of some our most unique gardens,
growers and retailers. We will start our day at French
Prairie Gardens. Enjoy a cup of coffee and a couple of
their homemade donuts. There we will board the bus and
head to Heirloom Roses. Heirloom is one of the leaders
in growing roses and their display garden is one that
you have to see to believe. Next we will make a stop at
Little Prince of Oregon. Little Prince is the sponsor of
our Plant Picks on the TV show. They will take us on a
‘behind the scenes’ tour of how they grow those great
plants that you see in the garden centers and we will
have a chance to purchase some of these great varieties.
Next we move to Garden Gallery Iron Works. Don Sprague
and his crew are known for their custom iron creations.
We will get to enjoy a box lunch there and see their
production facility and their retail shop. Next we
travel to Bauman’s Farm and Garden. Brian will greet us
and fill us in on how the farm operates and he promises
to have a few other treats in store! Then we head to
Sebright Gardens. Sebright grows tons of different
hostas, hardy ferns, epimediums and other companion
shade plants. Thomas has been on the show before. He
will walk you through some of their cool and unusual
plants, or you can just walk around their great display
garden.
Tour stops will include opportunities to buy plants.
Some at discounted prices!
We wrap up the day back at French Prairie Gardens for a
great Farm to Table dinner as the sun sets on our first
Garden Time Bus Tour. We hope that you can join us on
this trip.
The price for this trip is $75 per person and includes
your breakfast snack, the box lunch, bus transportation
